Awards and Thanks

KUDOS TO THE IOWA SHAKESPEARE EXPERIENCE AND ITS TERRIFIC SHOWS:

· multiple Iowa Arts Council Award Winners

· multiple Bravo Award Winners

· Des Moines Register: “Top Ten Things To Do In Iowa”

Featuring our region’s top professional actors – and with adjectives like “Brilliant!” and “Distinctive” and “the best ever!” routinely used to describe our shows, multiple additional leadership honors and top awards also attach to our work and to our cast, crew and staff resumes:

Staff honors include: 5 (that’s five!) Prairie Playwright Awards, a rare federal-level “Exemplary in the Nation” Award (Iowa’s first!), the prestigious Department of Cultural Affairs “Arts in Community” Award, even a Des Moines “Key to the City” Award! You can toss in a couple of “American Jurisprudence” awards, too! Our folks even have a “White House Millennium Community” project to their credit.

We are particularly proud of our award-winning capacities with multi-cultural and youth programming- all ISE programs meet multiple, national best-practice criteria and are supervised by highly experienced, licensed teachers and college/university academics offering numerous specialty certifications, national journal article authorship, and bona fide national-level expertise.
